I love everything about the shop, hoop.t.do on Etsy - everything from it's adorably clever name, to the fact that the owner & designer is from my very favorite city in the whole world, Minneapolis.
Not to mention Sara's incredible talent for hand embroidery!
"Other people's embroidery has been a bit of an obsession for me for quite some time, but I didn't embrace my own stitching until very recently ( I even wrote my senior thesis in college about Turkish floral motifs in embroidered Greek textiles). I taught myself to stitch when a client of my graphic design business asked me to come up with some hand embroidery patterns. In order to design a pattern, I needed to know how to stitch. And then I finally caught the bug. And I am so happy about it.
When I am not stitching, I'm designing, parenting, reading, and sitting on my front porch with my hubby and a glass of wine (not necessarily in that order!)."
Sara sells a beautiful variety of embroidery patterns in a PDF format that she has designed on her own.

Each pillow offers a hand embroidered design on the front and a coordinating fabric on the backside.
They offer an envelope closure for easy access for washing.
Sara was so generous to send me one of her fabulous pillows with three little owls on the front.
My girls were quick to point out that the middle one is me and the little ones to my side are each of them.
Please forgive my poor quality photos, they sure don't do this lovely pillow design justice.
Sara's embroidery work is spot on. She does a magnificent job and this is surely a pillow my girls and I will treasure forever.
I love that it looks amazing with the little owls showing, but the beautiful fabric on the back is fun to showcase, too.
