Jessica Flores Designs Review & Giveaway

Jessica Flores Designs is a beautiful shop on Etsy that offers a collection of handmade home and fashion accessories made from new and vintage fabrics, fine watercolors and stationary.

Jessica is the talented designer behind these fantastic creations and after graduating with a degree in studio art, she began her career as an artist painting in watercolor - selling her work in area galleries and art fairs.  After the birth of her daughter, Nora, in 2005, and the gift of a sewing machine from her mother, she's been adding textile art to her repertoire with small handmade items sewn from her collection of vintage fabrics and trims.  She loves the tactile quality of this work and it's satisfying practicality.
Jessica loves shopping for her imported supplies on Etsy - especially those from Japan and Korea.
She also sells a few vintage items in her other Etsy shop, Windsome Ginger Vintage.

Jessica was so gracious to send my family this beautiful custom hand drawn letter "L" to represent our family name.

I cannot even describe properly the talent that Jessica has.  The fact that she hand drew this beautiful creation is astonishing to me.  It's so fantastically detailed that pictures don't even do it justice.  It's even better viewed up close in person to really appreciate each and every stroke of the pen.

It's is drawn on a vintage dictionary page for the letter "L", which is such a unique detail.

I adore this piece so much and it's such a special addition to our living room.

Jessica's talents don't stop there, are a few of my other favorite treasures from her collection.

Hand Warmers
Perfect for a chilly Fall or Winter walk with the dog, an evening in the stands or at the bus stop - these hand warmers are made with new and vintage fabrics and filled with rice.  Just pop them in the microwave for 1-2 minutes before you go out and they will stay warm for about 30 minutes.

They would make the perfect stocking stuffer this Christmas.

Woodland Mushrooms Embroidery Art
Jessica learned to embroider when she was in elementary school from her grandmother and her local
4-H program.

This design is stitched from one of Jessica's own doodles and inspired by the book "Doodle Stitching" by Aimee Ray.

The embroidery is worked on pure natural-colored linen and framed in a 5" wooden hoop.
A ribbon has been stitched to the back for easy hanging.

Coral Bouquet Rosette Headband
This beautiful piece is perfect for ladies and little girls alike.  It's made from a crotchet chain in a pretty coral-colored cotton yard.

Three hand-stitched rosettes, one accented with a vintage brass button, make a pretty bouquet on the three-strand strap.

Custom Number or Letter Vintage Keychain
This useful keychain has many uses beyond the obvious - it makes a fantastic luggage tag, gift take or to corral all your mini club cards together and to keep your other key ring tidy.  Jessica is open to creating you a special piece in the colors of your choice.

Jessica has such a creative talent and offers a wide selection of wonderful items in her Etsy shop.
Lot's of useful treasures can be found and would make perfect Christmas gifts for family and friends.
