Red Bird Vintage Home Review & Giveaway

With the holidays around the corner, many of you are in the market for the perfect gift for that extra special someone, or perhaps that hard to buy for relative on your shopping list.

Red Bird Vintage Home as something even the pickiest person on your shopping list would love.

Kay is the beautiful owner and designer of this sweet shop and she offers a collection of vintage inspired pillows as well as personalized and super fun city pillows.  Everyone could use a throw pillow and to be able to have it personalized with their family name or to highlight the city they live in is unique and very special.

Avery Island Salt Bag Gray Pillow
The center square of this fabulous pillow is from a genuine cotton salt bag.  Kay cut away everything but their circular logo, framed it in dark gray wool and voila!

The dark gray wool is a very woven plaid with red thread and the pillow is as soft as can be.

Vintage Brown Barkcloth Pillow
Brown is the new 'in' color.  My husband and I recently painted our basement brown and I have a feeling that this trend is going to stay awhile.

This is Kay's modern interpretation of a French grain sack-pillow.  The pillow has 2 side closures, with each having 3 vintage buttons.

Geography Pillows
This is by far one of my very favorite pillow designs I've seen and they make the perfect gift for just about anyone - even the men on your shopping list.
This is also a fabulous gift for a graduate, or family friends that are relocating.

Kay is happy to add a custom note and gift wrap at no additional cost and send the pillow directly to the recipient - talk about convenient!  And the receiver will be so surprised!

Kay cuts her own stencils and painstakingly  hand-stencil's the design and then carefully adds shading, which gives it a hand-made vintage look.

The fabric she uses is a pre-washed repurposed off-white canvas, which is very soft, nicely textured and natural.  It's neutral color will fit in with almost any decor.

Kay was so sweet to create this lovely pillow for our family!!

She beautifully created a pills with our family name.  And let me just say, I LOVE personalized items for our home.  There is something special and homey about having our name displayed on various decor pieces.  We are so happy to have this beautiful pillow in our collection of personalized items.

Kay did a fantastic job creating this piece.  It not only goes with our loving room decor perfectly, but it also is very soft and nice to snuggle up on the couch with.
